Chris Brown will not be boxed into only being an R&B singer; he will release a Hip Hop mixtape entitled 'Boy In Detention' shortly.
In the past few days, Brown has dropped "Real Hip-Hop Shit #3 & #4, a couple freestyle tracks featuring production from 9th Wonder that have made its way around the internet.
The "Look At Me Now" singer revealed via Twitter he will release the mixtape before his next official studio album, currently dubbed 'Fortune' and a follow-up to 'F.A.M.E.'
Brown addressed potential fans that may dislike his departure from R&B to Hip Hop, saying "And people… Yes I'm a singer so if this mixtape doesn't reach your quota for hip hop! Simply don't listen..."
