Less than a week ago Amy Winehouse returned to headlines for checking herself into rehab.
The singer did say through a rep that she was going to Priory Clinic in order to prepare for a summer tour of Europe.
In order to avoid speculation that the singer isn’t taking her recovery from drug and alcohol abuse seriously, her publicist released a statement assuring skeptics that Winehouse is still being treated. Chris Goodman said that Winehouse has “finished her assessment” and is “raring to go. She would like to send a huge thanks to her fans for the messages of support she has received over the last week and can't wait to see them."
Goodman added that Amy will “remain at the Priory on doctors’ advice,” but as an outpatient. Amy will begin her tour in Serbia on June 18 and follow with dates in Istanbul.
